The dormitories of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University "Manas" are cozy and comfortable places provided by our university. The dormitories consist of three buildings, opened in 2000 (Block "B"), 2008 (Block "C"), and 2013 (Block "A"). The dormitories give students a sense of tranquility, reliability, and trust. Considering the conditions and amenities provided here, it can be confidently stated that our student dormitories are the best in the country, and they can serve as an example.

In addition to providing accommodation, our dormitories also offer a wide range of opportunities for the self-improvement of our students in the social, cultural, and sports spheres. To this end, various events are held on special days, including poetry readings, debates, entertainment programs, theatrical performances, celebrations, informational meetings, excursions, and sports competitions. Thus, a platform is created for our students that brings together students from across the Turkic world, providing them with the opportunity to meet, learn about, and better understand the cultures and traditions of different peoples.

As mentioned earlier, our dormitories are exemplary in Kyrgyzstan. The dormitories have 5 study halls, each designed for 100 students, and are also equipped with halls for sports and theatrical events, a library, an internet cafe, and a student cafeteria that operates until 11:00 PM every day. In the student dormitory of Block "A", 472 girls and 210 boys reside, in Block "B" 208 girls and 262 boys, and in Block "C" - 298 girls. Here, our students have the opportunity to get to know each other's languages, cultures, religions, and customs better, as well as contribute to the development of the Turkic world. Over 1400 students live in the student dormitories.

Experienced managers and staff work in the dormitories, providing a wide range of services at a high level. As for foreign students of the preparatory course, they are provided with places in the dormitory outside the queue without any scoring. In addition to this, all possible support is provided to foreign students during the adaptation period. In order for undergraduate and graduate students to be eligible for accommodation, their average academic performance score at the end of the year is taken into account, as well as whether they have previously lived in student dormitories, complied with dormitory rules, participated in activities, etc. After all verification work is done, considering all the pros and cons, students are scored, starting from the student who has the highest score, and a queue is established.

 (Detailed information on this issue is available in the KTUM student dormitory instructions).

Considering the economic situation of our students, the monthly accommodation fee in blocks "B" and "C" is 1200 soms, while in block "A" it is 1500 soms. Additionally, a deposit fee of 2500 soms is charged. Payments are made through the bank.

In our dormitories, each room has its own private bathroom (shower and toilet). Students can wash their clothes in the laundry room for 25 soms per kilogram, or use a separate washing machine for 125 soms, as well as avail themselves of the free ironing service. Bedding is washed free of charge every two weeks. The University Medical Center, Student Development and Counseling Center, and the Central University Library ensure uninterrupted service for our students. Specifically for sports activities, there are volleyball and basketball courts with artificial turf and rubber flooring, sports facilities, and an indoor gym. Cafeterias are ready to serve students from 08:00 to 23:00. The university cafeteria offers lunch and dinner for students residing in the dormitories. In the cafeteria, students can watch Turkish TV channels and Turkish Super League football matches. Students can also enjoy eating, relaxing, and reading books in the cafeteria (Millet Kıraathanesi), which was opened in 2018. On campus, there is a mosque named after Saltuk Bugra Khan, and there are separate prayer rooms (namazkana) in the dormitories for students to perform their prayers.

Cleaning in the rooms is done by the students themselves, while cleaning of the corridors and the rest of the premises is carried out by employees of a cleaning company. Security and safety on the Chingiz Aitmatov campus are provided by the security personnel of our university.

List of documents required for registration in the student dormitories:

  1. Student certificate;

A student certificate must be created from the "Create Document" button on the OBIS system and submitted as a printout (in Kyrgyz or Turkish). Newly qualified students can submit the Registration Document created for pre-registration by the Registrar's Office to our Directorate instead of their Student Certificate. The mentioned registration document will be sent by the Registrar's Office to the e-mails with the student number extension during the pre-registration to the university (Ex: 1234.56789@manas.edu.kg).

  1. Health certificate;

A health certificate is the most important condition for accommodation in the dormitory. Students who will be accommodated in the dormitory must undergo X-rays and blood tests (for AIDS) to obtain the necessary health certificate. (The mentioned blood test should only be provided by foreign students. It would be beneficial for them to take this test in their home country, as foreign students in Kyrgyzstan do not yet know the language and addresses, it will be very difficult for them to take these tests.) The test results must be provided to the KTUM Medical Center "Şehit Eren Bülbül". After approval by our doctors, the student receives a medical certificate for accommodation in the dormitory.
