Career Day Events - II (9 April 2025)
As part of Career Day Events II organized by our faculty, our students had an opportunity to meet with numerous representatives of tourism businesses.
Opening speeches were delivered by Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov, Vice-Rector of our university, and Prof. Dr. Yasin Boylu, Dean of our faculty. The event attracted significant interest from academics and students alike. Representatives from leading companies in the tourism sector also attended, including Sheraton Hotel, Royal Beach, Bishkek Walks, Kaynar Group, Sofia Hotel, Supara, Kyrgyz Concept, Pegas Touristik, Orion Hotel, Ulush Travel, As a Nomad and Kyrgyz Tourism.
In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov, Vice Rector of our university, emphasised the importance of the tourism sector for regional development and employment. He also expressed his gratitude to the institutions that contributed to the Career Day events and provided guidance to students. He also noted that Tourism Faculty graduates have an advantage when it comes to finding employment, stating that there are significant job opportunities in the sector for students.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Yasin Boylu, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, stated that this was the second time the faculty had organized a Career Day at KTMU this year. Prof. Dr. Boylu expressed his belief that the event would be successful, saying: “We believe that we will experience a productive and successful event that brings together the dreams of our students and the realities of the tourism sector.”
The event, which began at KTMÜ Faculty of Tourism and continued with intense participation, provided students with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from 27 companies in the tourism sector. The program, which introduced internship and job opportunities, included career guidance sessions and special promotional panels aimed at developing areas of sectoral cooperation. The event provided students with important opportunities to shape their careers.
