GOAL

The aim of the Mathematics Department Master's Program is having knowledge of basic mathematical science, informatics, scientific applied and experimental research and development studies, mathematical modeling and program development, able to develop effective mathematical methods to solve natural sciences, technology, economics and management problems, giving mathematics and computer courses, as well as versatile is to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to train experts who can carry out professional activities, adopt professional values and respect social values.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

1. The master's program prepares competent and successful specialists in all fields of mathematics and applied mathematics.  The opportunity of admitted students is given to become experts in one of the most diverse subjects in the field.  The program offers graduate students with undergraduate degrees in mathematics, mathematics education, mathematics and informatics, computer science, applied mathematics, mathematics-physics, who want to be one of the experts in the fields of mathematics and its applications, contributing to the shaping of science and the future.

2. In the execution of the master's program, there are 6 classrooms, a seminar hall, a well-equipped computer and physics laboratory. There are an internet infrastructure that provides access to course and scientific books, periodicals, databases, electronic resources, study rooms and a central library that provides uninterrupted service.

3. 14 full-time lecturers, including 5 Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, 2 Doctoral Research Assistants and 1 Academic Specialist conducting physics laboratory courses are work in Master's education.  Some of the faculty members have done their doctorate abroad. All faculty members conduct joint scientific studies with researchers abroad and participate in international scientific activities. At least three (3) lecturers are working in our department specializing in different fields of mathematics, who are assigned for five years from respected universities in Turkey. The lectures working in other universities are also assigned part-time at our university to conduct master's program courses when necessary.

4. We have student exchange programs and double degree agreements with reputable abroad universities. In addition, there is the opportunity to study free of charge in the universities of many countries, especially in Turkey, with student exchange programs such as Erasmus, Mevlana and Orhun.5. The master's program is constantly updated according to scientific developments and innovations.
