Computer Programming Program

 

Goal:

In recent years in parallel with the rapid development of the IT sector and using of computer technologies in business and modern life, computer technologies and programming are being rapidly advancing. Using of computer and computer software (for PC, network environment and Internet), hardware, maintenance, repair, installation and management of computer networks is being expanding. Students, graduating as the computer technicians specialize in both theoretical and practical aspects. The training is aimed at preparation of mid-level IT professionals. The program is focused on such topics as hardware, system and computer networks, software development.

The main goal of the program is:

• to learn how to use the theoretical knowledge on computer programming, research related to quality standards, business ethics and environmental factors;
• to obtain competencies for continuous updating of information, following technological changes and innovations, including the concept of lifelong learning;
• to develop the effective communication skills by establishing correct and positive contact with people in order to strengthen the self-confidence;
• to teach the students computer programming and web design.

Development process:

Computer sector (Information and communication technologies sector) is being constantly developing due to the rapidly changing market and competitive conditions at the global level. Nowadays, as a result of the rapid growth in the use of information tools there is a development of professions related to the production and maintenance of computers. Therefore, there is a great need in qualified professionals of this field.  In this context, preparation of qualified labor force will increase employment and will positively affect the competitiveness and efficiency. «Computer software and automated systems» Program was planned to be opened in 2017–2018 yy.. The first students were admitted to the preparatory course in 2018.

Fields of activity:

       Students, completed the  «Computer software and automated systems» Program  will   receive the secondary technical education and will have the right to work as  programmer, software specialist, software developer, computer technician and information technology specialist.
History, Philosophy and lessons of foreign language are being taught within 4 semesters. All these brings to the development of student’s purview.   German, French and Chinese language can be added upon request.

Students will also be able to work as a web designer in hardware and systems support. Besides, they will be able to set up their own busines.

Vertical transition:

Those, who successfully completed this program, will have the vertical transition right. Moreover, all graduates will have the opportunity to continue their education at both bachelors and master’s levels in the faculty of economics or business administration.
