Seminar on “Strengthening Multilateralism through Cooperation among Turkic States: The Evolving Role of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS)”
On November 24, 2025, at 15:30, Dr. Najiba Mustafayeva, a faculty member at Bahçeşehir University, delivered a seminar titled “Strengthening Multilateralism through Cooperation among Turkic States: The Evolving Role of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS)” for the students of our university.
During the seminar, Dr. Mustafayeva addressed the structural and political challenges currently facing multilateralism in the international system, illustrating them through various examples. She particularly emphasized the need for comprehensive reforms of existing international organizations, foremost among them the United Nations.
In her speech, she also evaluated the institutional and political initiatives undertaken by the Organization of Turkic States in recent years, underlining the potential of cooperation among Turkic states for strengthening regional and global multilateralism. The seminar concluded with the emphasis that, within the current international context, Turkic states can make meaningful contributions to multilateralism by assuming more active roles within the United Nations and other international platforms.
