A Guest Lecture Titled “The Role of Hungary in the Integration of the Turkic World” Was Delivered by Ibrahim Mammadov


On 6 February 2026, Azerbaijani researcher Ibrahim Mammadov gave a lecture titled ‘The Role of Hungary in the Integration of the Turkic World’ to undergraduate students in the Department of International Relations at the Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. The lecture comprehensively addressed Hungary's historical and geopolitical position, its ‘Opening to the East’ policy, its cooperation with the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), and its economic and strategic partnerships with Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.
Mammadov emphasised Hungary's role as a ‘bridge’ between the West and the Turkic world, highlighting the importance of trade, energy, investment, innovation, and transport corridors. This guest lecture contributed to the students' better understanding of current international processes, their assessment of the future of regional integration, and the deepening of their theoretical knowledge through practical examples.
