On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. a seminar titled “Labor Market Challenges and Policy Reforms in the Kyrgyz Republic” was delivered by Farid Talishli, IMF Representative to the Kyrgyz Republic. The seminar provided an in-depth discussion of current challenges facing the labor market in Kyrgyzstan, including employment structure, migration, and informal employment.
The question-and-answer session enabled students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical examples, engage directly with an expert on international economic issues, and develop a critical perspective on global labor markets.
