Talk and Performance on Contemporary Music and Technology Held
n November 6, 2025, within the framework of the Orhun Exchange Program, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Tarikçi, faculty member of the Department of Music Technology at Ankara Music and Fine Arts University, delivered a talk and performance titled “Music and Music Technology in the Contemporary Era” at our Faculty.
Prof. Dr. Tarikçi, known as a bass guitarist, composer, sound engineer, arranger, and academic, discussed the impact of technological developments on music production, recording, and performance processes. He also highlighted the contributions of modern music technologies to contemporary music education and creative expression.
At the end of the event, Prof. Dr. Tarikçi presented a short performance, demonstrating modern music technologies in practice. The program attracted great interest from both students and faculty members.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özkarcı, faculty members, and students. At the conclusion of the program, Prof. Dr. Özkarcı presented a certificate of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Tarikçi for his valuable contribution.
The event provided an important platform for raising awareness about the relationship between music and technology and offered students a valuable hands-on learning experience.
