Seminar on “The Use of Kyrgyz National Embroideries in Handicraft Products”
On November 10, 2025, a seminar titled “The Use of Kyrgyz National Embroideries in Handicraft Products” was held for the students of the Graphic Design and Painting Departments of our Faculty.
The seminar was delivered by Sheyshembek Monoldorov, an expert and author of several research works on this subject. Monoldorov presented the historical development and symbolic meanings of Kyrgyz traditional motifs and explained their application in various handicraft products with illustrative examples. Students gained valuable insights into how traditional patterns are adapted in contemporary design practices.
At the end of the event, Assic. Prof. Dr. Banu Erdoğan Çakar, Vice Dean of the Faculty, presented a certificate of appreciation to Sheyshembek Monoldorov.
The seminar served as a meaningful platform contributing to the transmission of Kyrgyz cultural heritage within the context of art and design education.
