Within the framework of the “Rota Manas: Solidarity and Accessibility Festival,” organized by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, children with Down syndrome, as well as visually and hearing impaired children, were hosted on campus. The event took place at the Chingiz Aitmatov Campus, where the Faculty of Fine Arts also participated with various activities.
Throughout the festival, children engaged in art, sports, and exploration-themed activities, enjoying a fun and educational day. The Faculty of Fine Arts contributed through concerts, dance performances, and a charity bazaar.
Stage performances and musical events provided joyful moments for the children, while the organized bazaar promoted a culture of solidarity and sharing. Additionally, activities such as sensory exploration, nature-based events, sports games, and finger painting encouraged children to express themselves.
The festival, with contributions from the Faculty of Fine Arts, supported children’s participation in social and cultural life while also raising awareness about accessibility and inclusion. The event stood out as a meaningful gathering emphasizing the importance of equal and active participation of individuals with disabilities in public life.
Carried out with the voluntary participation of students and academic staff, the event was regarded as a strong example of social responsibility that fosters solidarity and collaborative production.
