First-year students of our college’s Tourism and Hotel Management Program organized a meaningful social responsibility event on April 30, 2026, by visiting a nursing home. Under the guidance of instructor Madina Öztürk, the students met with the elderly residents of the nursing home and shared warm and emotional moments together.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to talk with the elderly residents and learn from their life experiences. In a friendly and sincere atmosphere, the students organized various activities to support the residents and help them feel that they were not alone. Through heartfelt conversations, shared memories, and warm communication, both the students and the nursing home residents spent an unforgettable day. The students also presented small gifts and treats they had brought with them, sharing joy and happiness with the residents.
This event, which contributed to the development of social responsibility and public awareness, provided students not only with professional growth but also with important human values and experiences. The visit, which once again highlighted the importance of love, respect, and gratitude toward the elderly, ended with touching and memorable moments.
Our college will continue organizing activities aimed at strengthening students’ sense of social responsibility in the future as well.
