To promote Chinese language education and cultural exchange between China and Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University signed a cooperation agreement with the Confucius Institute at Bishkek Humanities University in 2012, officially establishing a Confucius Classroom. Since its founding, the Confucius Classroom has relied on the support of the Confucius Institute to actively carry out Chinese language teaching and cultural promotion, becoming an important platform for Chinese education at Manas University.
The Confucius Institute at Bishkek Humanities University has provided the Confucius Classroom with essential teaching facilities, including computers, interactive whiteboards, and projectors, effectively improving teaching quality and classroom engagement. Additionally, each year a number of Chinese government-appointed teachers and volunteers are sent to support Chinese teaching at the university, bringing professional expertise to the program.
Over the years, the Confucius Classroom has not only offered systematic Chinese language courses to students at Manas University but also organized a wide range of cultural activities, such as calligraphy workshops, paper-cutting, tea ceremonies, and Chinese festival celebrations, which have been warmly welcomed by students. These activities have helped students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture alongside their language studies.
