Modeling, Optimization and Simulation Laboratory
As the Industrial Engineering Department, we offer the Modeling, Optimization and Simulation Laboratory, which is available for the use of our students and researchers, providing an environment where you can gain practical experience in modeling, optimization, and simulation techniques essential for solving modern industrial problems.
Our laboratory is equipped with 10 high-performance computers, a projector, and a whiteboard. This allows for both individual and group work. The computers in our laboratory are loaded with licensed versions of leading optimization and simulation software. Among these software are IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio, Simio, R, and Python. With these powerful tools, our students can model complex systems, optimize decision problems, and predict future performance by simulating dynamic processes.
Applied Experience in Education and Learning
This laboratory constitutes one of the cornerstones of Industrial Engineering education. Our students have the opportunity to combine their theoretical knowledge with practical application in our laboratory. Applied training sessions, conducted within the scope of courses, enhance students' skills in effectively using software and improve their competency in producing analytical solutions for real-world problems.
Comprehensive Support from Projects to Theses
The Modeling, Optimization and Simulation Laboratory provides an ideal working environment for our students' course projects and assignments. All software and hardware facilities needed for projects carried out on topics such as business process improvement, supply chain optimization, production planning, or logistics network design are available here. Furthermore, comprehensive support is offered to our students for their graduation theses. All students who wish to use modeling, optimization, and simulation techniques for the analysis and solution of complex systems can benefit from our laboratory in the most efficient way.
A Critical Hub for Research Activities
Our laboratory is an important center not only for education but also for research activities. Our faculty members and graduate students can develop new algorithms, improve existing methods, and generate innovative solutions to industrial problems using the most up-to-date software. This laboratory increases scientific contributions in the field of Industrial Engineering and strengthens our department's research capacity.
The Modeling, Optimization and Simulation Laboratory is a valuable resource offered by the Industrial Engineering Department to its students and researchers.
