Meeting with Preparatory Class Students
Faculty members of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics organized a meeting to meet and welcome new students. In this event, which traditionally takes place every year, preparatory class students were informed about the education and research activities in the department. The meeting was held with the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Ercan Celik started with the opening speech. He wished the preparatory class students success in their university lives and gave information about the academic and social opportunities of the department. In the weeks following this meeting, the lessons to be held with the preparatory class students were discussed. Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Ismet ALTINTAS told students about the opportunities offered by our university, such as success scholarships. Then, recommendations were received from senior students of our department. The opinions of the preparatory class students were taken, and their questions were answered. We thank our students very much for their participation.
