International Congress of Turkic World Social Sciences is held at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU).
The Opening Ceremony of the Congress organized by KTMU Turkic Civilization Research and Application Center, Sakarya University Turkic World Application and Research Center and Turkic World Research Foundation is taking place in the Conference Hall named after Kasım Tınıstanov today (on 18 October 2022).
Opening speeches followed the singing of the national anthems of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan and the screening of corporate promotional films.
Necessity of Alphabet Unity in the Turkic World
KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized the importance of the Turkic States Organization and said that the Turkic World will be even stronger if it ensures the unity of the alphabet. Many activities contributing to the unity of Turkic World are being carried out at the university. One of them is our Turkic World Digital Citizenship project. The aim of which is to raise awareness of citizenship of the Turkic World, to internalize their common values, to receive inspiration from Manas, Hacı Bektaş Veli and Nizami, and to have the spiritual feeling of His Excellency Ahmet Yesevi.
Presence of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in the world
KTMU Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Asilbek Kulmırzayev said that KTMU, which has carried out numerous activities related to the Turkic World with great success, is represented in 5 continents of the world with more than 10 thousand graduates. Young people from Manas University - future leaders of the Turkic World will contribute to humanity by building civilizations as their ancestors did.
Great Turkistan dream comes true
International Vision University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Vecdi Can stated that the Turks are now, step by step, reaching the dream of the great Turan geography, the great Turkestan, where the Turks are entwined with each other in the law of brotherhood, sincerity and love, and they use the opportunities given to them in this world for the benefit of humanity.
“Unity in language thought and work”
Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, who participated in the congress online, stated that the Congress was the concrete manifestation of thinker İsmail Gaspıralı's ideal of "unity in language, thought and work".
Sirat Bridge in front of the Turkic World
Turkic World Research Foundation President Közhan Yazgan said that the Turkic world carries past and future aiming at the unity and peace of all Turkic people. Important developments are taking place in this region. But still Sirat Bridge – the correct path isn’t seen. If we don’t get together to form a unity of power, big games around Turkey and the Turkic World will never end. Everyone in the Turkic world has to be trained and equipped and take action with the awareness of this trend.
Education collaborations in the information age
Sakarya University Turkic World Application and Research Center President Prof. Dr. Köksal Şahin highlighted the necessity to develop close relationship with the universities in the Turan region and the scientific potential of the Turkic World. In the Information Age, communities that produce and share scientific knowledge are now in a position to determine their own dominance and well-being.
Special session and sessions on current issues
After the opening speeches of the congress, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan moderated the Turkic World Special Session. In this session, International Vision University (North Macedonia) Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Abdulmecid Nuredin, National University of Public Service faculty member Dr. Zoltán Egeresi (Hungary), Sakarya University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Köksal Şahin, Azerbaijan State Economics University Lecturer Assoc. Dr. Fariz Ahmedov, M. Maruneviç Science Research Center Director Dr. Irina Konstantinova (Gagauzia, Moldova), Heritage University (Kazakhstan) Lecturer Prof. Dr. Mırzaliyev Bolat Atimtayevic presented represented their papers.
The 20th International Turkic World Social Sciences Congress brought together the academics of the Turkic World at KTMU. The keynote speeches and the Turkic World Special Session were followed by six sessions and the Kyrgyzstan Special Session.
The scientists of the Turkic World presented papers on interesting and current issues in these sessions.
