Kyrgyz-Turkish Fraternity
Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan said, “We are very honored to host our Honorable Speaker of the Parliament and our valuable delegation. All institutions of our Kyrgyzstan, especially our President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament and the Deputies shared our pain during the earthquake disaster in Turkey and provided help to our country. Our deputies sent part of their salaries to our country. Kyrgyz people once again showed their love and fraternity. I would like to express our endless thanks once again."
Manas, the Honor of Science
Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan said, “Our Manas University, which was established jointly by our brotherly Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, continues to work as the honor of science. Our scientific success was confirmed by the internationally respected organization QS and we ranked 801st in the list of world universities. Our goal in 2024 is to be among the top 500 universities in the world and to be the first in Central Asia. In this regard, we continue our work at full speed. Our basic philosophy is “to stay human every day”, as Chyngyz Aitmatov said. Also as our Nobel laureate Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar advised, “to work hard”. Our Manas University is the best example of this. We work hard and achieve world-scale successes and bring firsts to our Kyrgyzstan in the scientific field.”
Manas, Creates Solutions to Problems
Prof. Dr. Ceylan said, “One of the things we want to do in Kyrgyzstan is to be “More Than Just a University”. We are traveling to villages and towns to fulfill this slogan. We interact with the public and we produce and also implement solutions to problems. We are also trying to put forward new projects in the field of agriculture. We have taken important steps in this regard. Our President Sadyr Japarov supported us. Currently, we have a 70-hectare agricultural land project that we are waiting for a decision from the Parliament. In this area to be allocated, we will create a gene bank that will teach modern agriculture and add great wealth to Kyrgyzstan. We especially expect support from our Honorable Speaker Shakiyev in this regard. The enactment of our Teknokent Law proposal, which will also contribute significantly to the economy of Kyrgyzstan, is among the issues we expect. As you know, we are perhaps one of the first universities in the world to draft a law. It is “Technopolis Law”. We would like to see the support of our President and our deputies of the Parliament.”
Another Good News in Scientific Success
Rector Ceylan announced another international success of the University and said, “On the day our President came here, we had to give him a gift. As of today, we have achieved another success in QS: we ranked 300th in the world and 13th in Asia among the universities with the best teaching of modern languages. However, this is not enough for us. We aim to be first. As a university, we are ready to do everything we can in this regard.”
Manas As a Golden Bridge
Deputy Rector Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova said: “Our Speaker of the Parliament Nurlan Shakiyev and his accompanying delegation got to know our University better today. Currently our university is in a very good position. However, we will continue to work uninterruptedly to reach even further. Our university also acts as a golden bridge in strengthening the relations between our countries. Our people recognize and value this distinguished institution for its quality. We are getting stronger every day. We attach importance to the support of our Speaker of the Parliament to this process.”
