Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Meder Abakirov Paid a Courtesy Visit to Manas University
On 23 December 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Meder Abakirov visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan.
Deputy Minister Abakirov was welcomed by Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. İsmet Altıntaş and Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov, and Secretary-General Dr. Fatih Ramazan İstanbullugil.
Abakirov highlighted Manas University’s exceptional role in the development of knowledge, culture, and education in Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to support joint projects and cooperative initiatives planned for 2026.
In particular, Abakirov expressed his satisfaction with the university’s 30th-anniversary celebration program held at the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic. He also stated that Manas University holds a respected place in the Turkic World.
Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan in his speech, emphasized that Manas University has spent 30 years building bridges of education, culture, and friendship, and continues to maintain its status as a stable and reputable university in the Turkic World.
The visit concluded with a group photo to commemorate the day.
