The seminar titled “Choosing a Healty, Drug-Free Life” was organized at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall of KTMU, in collaboration with the State Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Veterans Association of the Kyrgyz Customs Service, and our university. The event aimed to prevent drug addiction among young people and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

During the seminar, Colonel Nurbek Zheenbekov from the Kyrgyz Republic State Customs Service provided students with comprehensive information about the harms of drugs and ways to protect themselves. Highlighting the worsening health conditions of youth, Zheenbekov stated, “In the past, conditions such as paralysis and heart attacks were mostly seen in people over 60, but today they are increasingly affecting individuals as young as 30 to 40. The reason is unhealthy nutrition and insufficient adoption of healthy lifestyle habits. Share the benefits of sports with others, take care of yourselves, stay away from drugs, and encourage others to do the same.” Colonel Zheenbekov also emphasized the important role of students in the fight against drugs, expressing that their support in this effort is highly valued.

The program also included various physical exercises, and students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers related to the topic.
