KTMU’s Village and School Visits Project Sheds Light on the Youth of Kyrgyzstan

Within the scope of the “Village and School Visits” Social Responsibility Project carried out by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU), extensive visits were conducted in various regions of Kyrgyzstan during the spring term of 2026. The project aims to support equal opportunities in education, build strong connections between students in rural areas and the university, and contribute to the future vision of young people, creating significant social impact once again this year.

Reaching Schools Across Different Regions of Kyrgyzstan

As part of the project, visits were made to the villages of Boo-Terek, Bakiyan, Kara-Suu, Aytmatov District, Kızıl-Adır, Çolponbay, Şeker, Tüy-Tö, Intımak, Kök-Taş, Taş-Kuduk, Kızıl-Aktyabır, Madaniyat, Kök-Tokoy, Con-Arık, Kırk-Azık, Kök-Kaşat, Manas, and Saz-Bulak, establishing direct contact with educational institutions in rural areas.

Within the scope of these visits, meetings and various activities were held with students, educators, and school administrators at Beyşen Satıbekov, Eşenalı Uulu Seytek, Aytpaev Atındagı, Manas, Toktogul Babanov, Baysılda Mırzabaev, Törökul Aytmatov, Soltonbek Köçörbaev, Kapalov Eşimbek Atındagı, Esenbek Düyşeev, Mamıt Uulu Abdırahman Taş-Kuduk, Sultanalı Uulu Kuşubak, Moldogazı Urmapal, Ş. Şerkulov, Akmatbeka Nurcanov, Bayseyıt Uulu Eşmanbet, Atay Ogonbaev, Şabdanbek Cumagulov, and Cumagul Uulu Alımkul secondary schools.

Academic Guidance for Students

Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Kemal Polat, Chair of the KTMU Sustainable Development Commission, academicians from various disciplines directly engaged with students in village schools.

During the meetings, which aimed to support students’ academic, social, and personal development, comprehensive information was shared on university life, career opportunities, career selection, time management, and future professions. The activities, designed to guide young people in achieving their dreams, attracted strong interest from students.

Seminars and Career Awareness

Within the program, seminars were organized to inform students about higher education opportunities, pathways to academic success, goal setting, and personal development. Academicians answered students’ questions and shared their experiences regarding university education and career planning, helping young people prepare for their futures with greater awareness and confidence.

Appreciation from School Administrators

School principals emphasized that bringing students from rural areas together with university academics increased motivation and raised awareness of higher education opportunities. They noted that these meetings were highly inspiring for students and highlighted that KTMU’s initiative plays a significant role in promoting equal opportunities in education. They expressed their gratitude to the university administration and participating academicians.

A Strong Bridge Between the University and Society

The project has been widely appreciated for increasing awareness of higher education among students living in rural areas, enhancing educational motivation, and helping young people prepare more strongly for the future.

By strengthening ties between the university and society, the initiative has contributed to improving access to knowledge and supporting social development through education. Through this “heart bridge” established with students across different regions of Kyrgyzstan, KTMU has not only shared academic knowledge but also contributed to strengthening human capital, improving educational quality, and supporting sustainable development goals in the country.
