During the seminar, the key features of the Hanafi-Maturidi approach, which holds a significant place in Islamic thought, were thoroughly discussed. The goal of the event was to raise awareness by explaining the historical context of this religious understanding, its development, and its influence on the present day.
The main topics of the seminar included the characteristics of the As'hab al-Hadith and As'hab ar-Ra'y, the life of Abu Mansur al-Maturidi, the social and intellectual environment in which he grew up, his teachers, and his students. Additionally, the reasons why Maturidi is not well known today and is often overlooked were also addressed.
The participants gained insight into his contributions to Islamic thought and received new perspectives on their own educational processes.
