Our Faculty provided undergraduate students with the opportunity to explore the concept of zuhd in Islamic thought in depth. Nurjan Darkulov, a doctoral student under the co-supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Aiitmamat Kariev and a preacher from Almaty, Kazakhstan, met with our students at a seminar titled “The Understanding of Zuhd in Islam: The Example of Ahmad Yesevi.”
During the seminar, the essence of the concept of zuhd in Islamic thought was discussed. Through the Sufi understanding and exemplary personality of Ahmad Yesevi, the ways in which zuhd is practiced in both individual and social life were evaluated. The program proved to be highly beneficial and inspiring for our students.
Our Faculty thanks Nurjan Darkulov for his valuable contribution and wishes him success in his academic studies.
