Within the framework of the Faculty’s social responsibility activities, a seminar titled “The Determining Role of Maternal Health in Public Health” was held on April 15, 2026, for university students and women. The seminar was organized under the coordination of Zhamila Zhoraeva, a staff member of the Faculty of Theology at KTMU.
During the seminar, Dr. Umutkan Maksimbekova comprehensively evaluated the impact of maternal health at both individual and societal levels. The critical importance of maternal health in raising healthy generations was emphasized, along with the long-term effects of pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and postnatal care.
It was also noted that improving maternal health is a key factor in enhancing overall social well-being. Participants were informed based on current scientific data and provided with practical recommendations.
Approximately 400 students attended the seminar and followed it with great interest. Refreshments were served at the end of the program.
