Salawat Competition
As part of the 2026 social responsibility activities, the Faculty of Theology of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University organized a “Salawat Competition” for university students and women. The event was held between April 1–18, 2026 under the coordination of faculty staff member Jamila Joraeva.
This organization, which enabled individuals to experience spiritual practices on a collective level, was regarded as a distinctive initiative contributing to the strengthening of social bonds. Participants from different age groups and sociocultural backgrounds engaged in the practice of reciting salawat during a specific period, which not only deepened their personal awareness of worship but also fostered a symbolic sense of belonging around shared values.
By placing competition in the background and emphasizing spiritual awareness, collective belonging, and cultural continuity, the event became a remarkable example of reinterpreting traditional religious practices through contemporary organizational forms. The results of the competition were announced during a program held on April 20, 2026, and awards were presented to the winners.
