A critical operation was carried out due to delayed goat, resulting in the birth of three healthy kids. Although labor in the goat had started three days earlier, it did not progress, and on March 31, 2026, the animal was urgently brought by its owner to the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Research and Application Center.
Clinical examination revealed dystocia caused by the failure of the cervix to dilate. In addition, vaginal prolapse and rectal prolapse were detected, posing a life-threatening condition. Therefore, a cesarean section was performed without delay. As a result of the operation, which was meticulously carried out by a team of specialists, three healthy kids were successfully delivered.
Following the operation, the mother goat received both surgical care and the necessary treatment for the prolapse conditions, and her overall condition was stabilized. It was reported that both the mother and her three kids are in good health.
This successful intervention once again highlighted the importance of early intervention. Veterinarians emphasized that animals experiencing delays during the birth process should be taken to veterinary clinics without delay.
