Graduates from the Department of Veterinary Medicine are able to work in farms, food processing industries, public and private organizations, cooperatives, joint ventures, medical and diagnostic institutions, in industries related to veterinary and sanitary control, and in veterinary management organizations. 

Graduates can also work on research related in the theoretical, clinical, and fundamental areas of veterinary science. 

Graduates from Turkey have found jobs in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Livestock, in veterinary practices around the country, in research institutions, regional laboratories, processing plants, nuclear energy plants, in the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, in the National Center for Manufacturing, in the State Planning Organization, in government organizations for ensuring livestock health and quality control, in the private sector, in food proccessing, and in public health and environmental protection agencies.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at KTMU includes the following disciplines:

  1. Fundamentals;
  2. Animal husbandry and breeding;
  3. Diseases and clinical practice;
  4. Hygiene and food safety.

Each discipline is staffed by highly-trained faculty members. 

Students graduate as veterinarians with the highest qualifications.
