On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, Industrial Engineering faculty member Dr. Selçuk Gören gave a seminar titled "Optimization in Sustainability: An Example from Turkey" seminar. In the seminar, an example of an optimization study carried out to ensure that coal aid for poor families in Turkey is provided on time and at the lowest possible cost was given and the connection of the study with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 1 and the importance of industrial engineering in sustainability was discussed.
