An Internal Audit Evaluation Report and Management Review (MR) Meeting was held at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU), where ongoing quality assurance activities within the university were assessed. During the meeting, it was announced that, as a result of the 1st Surveillance Audit conducted under the TS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, all processes within the university were found to be compliant and no nonconformities were identified.
The meeting, which addressed the university’s quality management processes, was attended by KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev, Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. İsmet Altıntaş and Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov, Secretary-General and Quality Management Representative Dr. Fatih Ramazan İstanbullugil, Head of the Quality Executive Board Prof. Dr. Kadir Ardıç, quality ambassadors, as well as academic and administrative unit managers.
Internal audit results and feedback guided improvement processes
The report presented at the meeting included 2025 internal audit results, certification organization audits, feedback collected from students and staff, and data related to process efficiency. In addition, corrective and preventive actions, survey analyses, updated practices, and areas for improvement were evaluated. This approach helped identify not only the current status but also areas requiring further development.
No nonconformities identified in the surveillance audit
Secretary-General Dr. Fatih Ramazan İstanbullugil stated that, as a result of the 1st Surveillance Audit conducted by the Turkish Standards Institution Certification Center Presidency, all processes defined within the standard were successfully met. He also expressed his gratitude to the quality ambassadors, as well as academic and administrative staff who contributed to this achievement.
New phase in strategic planning and digital systems
Head of the Quality Executive Board Prof. Dr. Kadir Ardıç provided an evaluation of quality objectives, preparations for the 2027–2030 Strategic Planning process, and the current progress in the Individual Suggestion System and Corrective and Preventive Actions systems. He also shared recommendations aimed at further strengthening the culture of quality within the institutional structure.
Rector Ceylan: Quality is an integral part of our management approach
Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that quality efforts are not limited to certification processes, but are regarded as a strategic approach guiding the entire structure of the university. He highlighted that continuous improvement is a core principle across all areas, from education and research to administrative services and student satisfaction, stating that a culture of quality is a fundamental element of institutional success.
Rector Ceylan stated: “We view quality processes as a sustainable management approach that guides all areas of our university. This result is a concrete reflection of institutional effort, teamwork, and a shared sense of responsibility. Thanks to the dedicated work of our academic and administrative staff, our university continues to strengthen its structure in line with international standards.” He further noted that quality-oriented efforts will continue with determination, emphasizing that every step supporting institutional development contributes to a stronger university structure for students, staff, and stakeholders.
