Students' panel discussion on 'GASTRONOMY TOURISM POTENTIAL OF KIRGIZISTAN AND ALTERNATIVE OPPORTUNITIES'


On March 25, 2022, a student conference titled "Potential and Opportunities of Gastronomic Tourism of Kyrgyzstan" was held for master's and undergraduate students of the Department of Catering and Culinary Arts. In the opening speech of the conference, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Yasin Boylu, and Deputy Dean, Associate Professor Güntekin Shimshek, noted that the restaurant sector is one of the fastest developing sectors of the world economy, including Kyrgyzstan, and expressed high hopes for students studying in this profession.

Several students presented their research at the conference, including Toktorova A. (Master's student, "Opportunities and barriers to the development of business women in tourism"), Esenkadyr N. (Master's student, "Research on the role of Kyrgyz national food products in tourism"), 4th-year students Asangulova Z. ("Research on the use of milk in health tourism in Kyrgyzstan"), Shekerbekova A. ("Analysis of the application of quality management methods at public catering enterprises in Bishkek"), Kasymova N. ("Development of recommendations on research and development of the organization of public catering enterprises in Bishkek city"), A. Kalykova ("Research of methods of service management applied at public catering enterprises"), A. Batyrbekova ("Properly organized meals for students in schools"), Jenishbek kyzy Guljamal ("Development of recipes and technologies of meals for schoolchildren taking into account their wishes"), and 2nd-year students Arslan Mayrambekov, Feruzabanu Jumasheva, and Bekbolot Khalil uulu ("Problems and prospects of the public catering sector"), and G. Batyrbekova, A. Batyrbekova, and A. Batyrbekova.
