VI. Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Restaurant Business and Gastronomy Tourism: Problems and Opportunities”


On April 24, 2026, the VI. Student Scientific and Practical Conference was held at the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts of the Faculty of Tourism.

The event was attended by 4th-year students as well as the academic staff of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. The conference served as an important platform for discussing current problems and development prospects of restaurant business and gastronomy tourism, as well as for sharing scientific ideas and practical experience.

Students delivered presentations on the sustainable development of restaurant business and gastronomy, and on the integration of national cuisine into the tourism industry of Kyrgyzstan.

The active participation of faculty and students ensured a high academic level of discussion, while the practical orientation of the presentations highlighted the importance of the conference for training future industry specialists.

The format of a scientific and practical conference helps strengthen the link between science and practice, develop students’ professional competencies, and promote restaurant business and gastronomy tourism in Kyrgyzstan as a promising field.
