Goal

The main goal of the Plant Protection Department Master's Program is; to train experts who can carry out versatile activities in the field of producing high quality agricultural products by utilizing the current developments in the agricultural sector via improving the personal qualities of the students and give them professional qualifications who aim to achieve results in practical applications in the field of plant protection.

Program Information

  1. The master's program trains competent and successful experts in the field of plant protection. It gives accepted students the opportunity to become experts in one of the different branches of science in their field. The program offers the opportunity to pursue a master's degree for students who have received their undergraduate degrees in Plant Protection, Agronomy and Biology, who want to be one of the experts who contribute to in the shaping of science and the future of the field of plant protection.
  2. To execute the master's program, there are four (4) classrooms, two (2) seminar rooms and six (6) research laboratories (Entomology, Phytopathology, Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, Plant Clinic, Nematology and Herbology). There is a central library providing uninterrupted services with courses and scientific books, periodicals databases, internet connection providing access to electronic resources in the study halls.
  3. Master's education is currently conducted by 8 full-time lecturers, including three (3) Professors, one (1) Associate Professor, two (2) Instructor Doctors, one (1) Research Assistant (PhD) and one (1) Research Assistant. All faculty members involve in joint scientific studies with researchers abroad and participate in international scientific activities. Three (3) faculty members specialized in different disciplines of plant protection, who are assigned for five years from respected universities in Turkey, work in our department. In the case of necessity, acknowledged faculty members working in universities of the Kyrgyz Republic are also assigned as a part-time lecturer at our University to conduct graduate program courses.
  4. Within the scope of student exchange programs such as Erasmus, Mevlana and Orhun, it is possible to receive free education and research opportunities at many prestigious universities mainly in Turkey and abroad.
  5. The master's program is constantly updated based on scientific developments and innovations.
