PhD Degree Program in Biology
The Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences in KTMU - Department of Biology offers a PhD program that allows doctoral students to choose optional courses and perform laboratory practices in accordance with their research interests. The program was opened in 2018 and in 2019 our department started accepting PhD candidates. They are currently attending compulsory courses.
The curriculum includes a small number of theoretical studies and the maximum number of laboratory studies and independent work. The third and fourth academic years are devoted to the PhD thesis. The program was developed taking into account the research capabilities of the university and friendly institutions of Turkey, and various grants are offered for research and internships abroad. The Department of Biology provides PhD candidates with education that meets fundamental knowledge in biology and the needs of the national economy, new technologies and trends in this field.
