531600-MASTER OF ARTS IN ISLAMIC STUDIES
The Department of Islamic Studies has been opened in 2014 year under the Social Sciences Institute of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. The department has been equiped with all necessary conditions and professional academic staff for giving qualitative education. In the department students deeply study such disciplines, as Hadith studies, Tafsir studies, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Kalam, History of schools of fiqh thought (madhhab). At the end of training graduates are given The Master of Arts degree in Islamic Studies. At present the department trains eight students. The department aims to train professional theologists as there is a lack of skilled personnel in religious sphere in Kyrgyzstan.
