DOCTORAL PROGRAM
Mission
Mission of Islamic Sciences Doctorate Program of Kyrgyz- Turkish Manas University is as follows;
To educate individuals, who will be able to learn religion of Islam with an objective and analytical point of view from the basic sources such as Qoran and Sunnah, having scientific and moral equipment to guide the society; who are respectful and tolerant towards people belonging to different faiths and sects and to provide methodological information for gaining the necessary scientific infrastructure for this.
The framework of this program is to present the students who will study in the program with the knowledge, literature and experience in the field of Islamic Sciences, and to make them ready to undertake effective tasks and responsibilities by providing them with skills such as research, analysis, analytical thinking and decision-making in this field.
The Islamic Sciences PhD program aims to contribute to national and international knowledge with both practical and basic research, with a perspective that covers various interdisciplinary subjects, not just limited to the field of Islamic Sciences.
Faculty members in the Islamic Sciences PhD program aim to cooperate with state and non-governmental organizations both in the Islamic world, Central Asia and Turkey, with projects carried out at individual and institutional levels in their academic specialties.
Goal
The Doctoral Program is aimed to enable the training of high level/qualified specialists needed in the field of Theology by carrying out all kinds of scientific, theoretical and practical research and studies in the field of Islamic Sciences. In all academic activities necessary to achieve this goal, scientists who are experts in their fields, each of whom originally worked in various higher education institutions in Turkey and assigned to our department, make great contributions.
Program Information
The program offers the opportunity to pursue a PhD for students with a master's or specialization in Islamic Sciences. Some of the sub-branches in the Islamic Sciences Department Doctorate Program are as follows:
Students who graduate from the Islamic Sciences Department Doctorate Program become experts in one of the above-mentioned fields. In the Islamic Sciences PhD program, it is also possible to contribute to Islamic Sciences field expertise by taking courses related to the following areas:
There are five (5) classrooms, two (2) lecture halls and a Faculty library that can be used during the education of the doctoral program. Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Library and databases, which has the largest access to resources in Central Asia, also provide free service to students in the Islamic Sciences PhD program to access national and international scientific resources.
The PhD Program is currently taught by eight (8) full-time faculty members, including three (3) Professors and five (5) Associate Professors. Faculty members, some of whom have received their doctorate degrees abroad, regularly conduct joint scientific studies such as articles, books, projects, symposiums or workshops with researchers in their fields and sub-disciplines, and participate in scientific activities.
