“Metal and Welding Technology” Program

 

Goal:

Welding – is the production method that allows to combine two materials. Metal or thermoplastic materials are usually used.
“Metal and Welding Technology” Program is aimed at preparation of qualified welders for the industry of Kyrgyzstan.

The main goal of the program is to learn how:

• to determine the types of materials during welding;
• to determine welding methods depending on types of materials and work;
• to examine materials;
• to use Oxygen Fuel Gas Welding, electric arc welding, soldering, stud welding, resistance welding, MIG-MAG, TIG welding, plasma transferred arc welding (PTA), laser welding;
• to determine which welding method to use in different types of manufacturing;
• to apply compounding methods in colored materials.

In addition to the various knowledge and skills gained while studying in this program students with learn all subtleties of the profession not only in theory but also in practice.

Development process

Due to the development of technologies the working methods in the welding process are constantly updated. The need for qualified welders is growing in the developing industry of Kyrgyzstan.  

In this connection, Vocational School of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University plans to produce graduates for 2020-2021 yy.

Fields of activity:

All our students who will complete this program will have the right to get «Welding technologist» qualification.

The students completed the Metal Working and Welding Technologies Program can work in the field of metal working and welding according to the knowledge they acquired. Moreover, they will be able to work in such spheres as construction, automobile and agricultural industry.  They also will able to set up their own business.

Vertical transition:

Graduates, successfully completed this program will have the vertical transition right:

• Faculty of Engineering and Technology;
• Metallurgy and materials science;
• Materials Science;
• Materials science and engineering.
