A poetry program titled “Ak Kalpak and Pen” was organized by the second-year students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching of our faculty under the supervision of Lecturer Arina Kazakbayeva, in cooperation with the Youth Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the aim of preserving cultural heritage.
The program was held on March 5, 2026, at the Garden Hotel in Bishkek. During the event, poems about the Ak Kalpak, patriotism, and civic activism were recited. Folk poets and Manas narrators also took part in the program, adding a special cultural atmosphere to the event.
In addition, the significance of the Ak Kalpak, one of the important cultural symbols of the Kyrgyz people, was explained to the young participants, and information about national and cultural values was shared.
