XII International Turkic Peoples Traditional Sports Games Symposium


Main Topics of the Symposium:

• History and practical development period of traditional games and sports;

• The important role and importance of traditional games and sports in human development;

• Techniques, tactics, competition rules and features of traditional sports;

• The rebirth of ethnic sports games in the Turkic world and kinship societies;

• Etymology of traditional games and sports in the world – terminology, rituals, evolution / transformation, national qualities, emptiness of meaning, cultural aspects and functions, reflection of traditional sports games in the written sources, folklore and literature of the Eurasian peoples.

 

Symposium Participation Conditions

It is possible to attend the symposium online.

The symposium is open to the participation of academicians and researchers related to the subject.

Symposium fee is not requested.

During the symposium, the expenses related to meals and accommodation of the participants will be covered by our university.Symposium Languages: Turkish, Kyrgyz, other Turkish dialects, Russian and English.

Paper Writing Rules

1. At the beginning of the full text, there should be an abstract in English or Russian, next to the language in which the paper will be presented, and the abstract should consist of at least 150 words.

2. Title, author's name and surname, abstract and keywords should be written in order.

3. In the study, the title should be written in capital letters and centered, and the name and surname of the author should be placed just below it. The unnumbered footnote to be given at the bottom of the page should contain the academic title, institution and e-mail address, respectively.

4. Full texts should be a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 pages.

5. After the title and author's name, a 10-point Turkish and English abstract should be placed. The title should also be stated in the English abstract.

6. The letter should be Cambria and the font size should be 11.

7. The work should be written in Word program and justified according to the page size of 16.5 x 24.

8. The text should be on a page size of 16.5 x 24, with a margin of 1.8 cm from the right-left and top-bottom, and should be justified on both sides.

9. Paragraph indentation: 0.75 cm, line spacing should be single line.

10. References should be shown in the text (Meriç, 2014: 33); If additional explanations are to be given, they can be given as footnotes.

11. The sources used should be listed at the end of the text in alphabetical order (Author SURNAME, Name, Name of the book, if  “article” is in quotation marks, Publication place and date).

12. Tables, graphics and pictures should be numbered separately, and the source or explanation should be indicated with 10 points just below.

Presentation: The duration of the presentation in the symposium is maximum 10 minutes.
