The Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration (EMCEI-22) in Sousse, Tunisia from 1 to 4 November 2022.


The Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration is an international conference that brings together researchers, scientists, engineers, and policymakers from the Euro-Mediterranean region to discuss environmental issues and solutions.

The conference covered a range of topics including climate change, renewable energy, water resources, waste management, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. The conference included keynote speeches, plenary sessions, and panel discussions as well as poster sessions and workshops. It provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, share their research findings, and network with colleagues from different countries and backgrounds.

At the conference, the head of the Department of Plant Protection of our university Prof. Tinatin Doolotkeldieva made a presentation on «Microbial bioremediation of obsolete pesticides at their disposal sites, in situ» where she explained the results of the study aimed to develop a bioremediation technology for treating polluted soils that uses agrochemical improvements and selected active degrading bacteria.
