On September 25, 2026, the National Organic Agriculture Day of the Kyrgyz Republic was celebrated for the first time in Bishkek at the building of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event was organized by the Department of Processing Industry and Organic Agriculture.
As part of the event, an exhibition of organic products produced by organic farms and farmers from different regions of the country was held. The exhibition also featured developments by scientists, young researchers, and students in the fields of organic agriculture, green technologies, and agricultural biotechnology.
Our Faculty participated in the event by presenting scientific developments and practical materials developed in our laboratories. The exhibition featured biological preparations being developed in our laboratory, a demonstration collection of entomological specimens, and pheromone traps used in research and practical work for monitoring insect pests.
Participation in the event provided an opportunity to present the scientific work of our Faculty and demonstrate the connection between laboratory research and the practical needs of modern agriculture. It also allowed us to showcase our work aimed at developing biological and environmentally friendly approaches to plant protection.
The National Organic Agriculture Day aims to promote the development of organic production, the implementation of green technologies, the efficient use of resources, and the support of scientific developments contributing to the biologization of agriculture.
Our Faculty continues its work on developing and implementing scientific approaches aimed at promoting sustainable and environmentally oriented agriculture in Kyrgyzstan.
