Poetry Evening Dedicated to Mother Language Day


On February 20, 2026, a meeting with poet, Candidate of Philological Sciences, and Associate Professor of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Gulzada Stanalieva, was held at the Faculty of International Relations and Oriental Studies of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn (KNU).

The event was organized in honor of International Mother Language Day and took the form of a literary evening titled “Poetry – The Messenger of the Soul.” During the evening, students recited the poet’s works expressively. In turn, Gulzada Stanalieva read excerpts from her творчество and shared her reflections on poetry, language, and national spiritual values.

The meeting was opened by the Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Affairs, Nazarkul Ishekeev, who delivered a welcoming speech. He noted that G. Stanalieva successfully graduated from KNU in 1996 and today is one of the active representatives of contemporary Kyrgyz literature, contributing productively to its development.

The literary evening was held in a warm atmosphere and became an inspiring meeting for students, promoting spiritual values and respect for the mother tongue.
