A seminar held at the Faculty of Communication of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University evaluated the intellectual legacy, political struggle, and historical role of Jusup Abdrahmanov, considered one of the founding figures of the modern Kyrgyz state. During the event, featuring Dr. Bakytbek Orunbekov from the Department of Journalism as the keynote speaker, the focus was placed on Abdrahmanov’s leadership in the state-building process and the ideological and moral heritage he left to future generations. The seminar emphasized that Abdrahmanov’s life story is not merely an individual success story but a vital component of the Kyrgyz people’s struggle for political existence.

Dr. Bakytbek Orunbekov stated that the cultural atmosphere surrounding Abdrahmanov during his childhood was decisive in shaping his worldview. Orunbekov specifically noted that the intellectual environment formed around the great Manaschi (Manas epic teller) Sagınbay Orozbakov had a significant impact on the development of Abdrahmanov’s historical and social consciousness.
Highlighting that Abdrahmanov’s individual efforts in education and his intellectual growth set a remarkable example despite the limited opportunities of the era, Orunbekov expressed that Abdrahmanov’s world of thought was shaped by national consciousness and a sense of public responsibility.

In the seminar, where critical turning points in Abdrahmanov’s political life were evaluated within a historical context, it was stated that his stance against central administration policies during the famine of the 1930s was decisive for the lives of the Kyrgyz people.
Describing the initiative to halt grain shipments intended for Moscow as a historical intervention that saved thousands of lives, Dr. Orunbekov emphasized that Abdrahmanov’s political determination and state vision during the process of Kyrgyzstan gaining autonomous republic status played a crucial role in forming the modern Kyrgyz state structure.

Analyzing thoughts found in Abdrahmanov’s diaries and texts of a testamentary nature, Orunbekov stated that Abdrahmanov’s emphasis on the ideas of independence and freedom is directly related to the contemporary understanding of political sovereignty in Kyrgyzstan.
Furthermore, Orunbekov underlined that Abdrahmanov’s loyalty to his country, his sense of social responsibility, and his dedication to public service serve as an important historical and ethical reference for younger generations.
