Shot within the scope of the “National Spirit — Global Summit” vision under the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, the historical motion picture “Jusup” is meeting audiences at the KTMU Faculty of Communication. The film tells the life story of Jusup Abdrahmanov (1901–1938)—a founding father of modern independent Kyrgyzstan, Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic, and a master statesman and politician. Appointed as the first Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the Kyrgyz ASSR at just 26 years old, Abdrahmanov resolutely defended the political and economic independence of the country between 1927 and 1933.
Directed and written by Taalaibek Kulmendeev, the production's writing team also includes Dr. Bakyt Orunbekov, a faculty member from our Faculty of Communication. The hosting and organization of the event are led by Stambulbek Mambetaliev.
The screening will take place at the Artykpai Suyundukov Cinema Hall. In addition to students from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, students from the other two departments of our faculty will also attend. At this special gathering, our young attendees will not only watch the film but also have the opportunity to meet the production team and ask their questions.
We welcome everyone who wishes to witness the significance of this historical film and converse with our esteemed filmmakers!
