On February 20, 2026, an introductory visit to the Central Asian Institute for Environmental Research (CAIER) was organized in Almaty at the initiative of the Chamber of Independent Directors of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event was attended by Dr. Kanyshai Muktarova, Acting Associate Professor from the Department of Public Relations and Advertising, Faculty of Communications at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.
The meeting functioned as a professional platform integrating sustainable development and ESG principles with academic research and educational practice. During the site visit, representatives of the institute presented solutions related to building energy efficiency and the effective utilization of infrastructure, and provided an overview of the activities conducted in their laboratories.
Participants were introduced to innovative construction materials developed through the recycling of industrial waste, as well as to their contribution to sustainable development in the construction sector, the reduction of environmental impact, and the promotion of a circular economy.
In addition, it was emphasized that in contemporary corporate governance practice, processes such as strategic planning, risk management, transparency, accountability, and effective stakeholder engagement are increasingly implemented in alignment with ESG principles.
