Electrical and Electronics Engineering Students Visited OAO Chakan HPP-3 for a Technical Field Trip
Third-year students from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering visited the OAO Chakan HPP-3 micro-scale hydroelectric power plant on April 3, 2025, as part of a technical field trip.
The visit was supervised by Prof. Dr. Mirbek Turduev and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ruslan Akparali, who accompanied the students throughout the excursion. During the visit, students received detailed information about the technical infrastructure of the plant, turbine systems, production capacity, and the process of energy conversion.
Engineers from the plant delivered a presentation emphasizing the role of small-scale hydroelectric power plants in meeting local energy demands and their compatibility with sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. The students had the opportunity to observe real-world applications of the theoretical knowledge they had gained in class.
Such technical visits play an important role in enhancing students’ professional knowledge and fostering their engineering awareness.
