A SEMINAR ON 'SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PROJECT PREPARATION STAGES' BY PROF. DR. NAHİT AKTAŞ
Head of Chemical Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Nahit Aktaş gave a seminar on project preparation in our faculty. In the seminar, he gave information about the most known projects around the world. Stating that the public and private sectors around the world provide significant amounts of Research and Development (R&D) project support, Prof. Aktaş emphasized that we can benefit from this project pool that we have. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation, especially while stating that he provided worldwide project support such as the World Bank and the European Union.
In his speech, he explained the different Research Project support financed by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). Emphasizing the researcher support title in these projects, Prof. Aktaş stated that Manas University Academic Staff should benefit from these supports.
While briefly talking about the activities of the Chemical Engineering Department in his speech, he stated that the graduates of the Chemical Engineering Department received a scholarship invitation within the scope of the European Union Erasmus Program, and they supported them by being invited to do research at King Abdulaziz University. He explained that there are opportunities for joint work within many universities in Turkey and that they can receive scholarships during their research. In addition to these, Prof. Aktaş stating that they have trained Chemical Engineers with the qualifications sought by many chemical industries in our country, and explained that his students received job offers before they graduated.
