ATMOSPHERIC AIR POLLUTION IN BISHKEK AND SOLUTIONS
On May 17, 2022, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov declared 2022 as the "Year of Mountain Ecosystem Protection and Climate Stability" and round table on “Atmospheric air pollution in Bishkek and solutions” was held in the conference hall named after Kasym Tynystanov of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurzat Totubaeva, Head of Environmental Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Zarlyk Maimekov, chief specialist of the atmospheric air pollution monitoring department of the Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Gulzhan Esenzhanova, specialist in nature use, biological diversity and industrial ecology, manager of the Ecoaudit company Orozaly uulu Zhanybek, manager of the "Spark" electric vehicle company Chingiz Orozaliev, Faculty academic staff and students participated.
At the opening ceremony, Dean of Engineering Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurzat Totubaeva, Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering, Prof. Dr. Zarlyk Maymekov and Rector's advisor, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kobya made speeches.
At the meeting, Esenzhanova Gulzhan made a presentation on "Atmospheric air monitoring in Kyrgyzstan", Zhanybek Orozaly uulu presented on "Electric vehicles and the way to sustainable development", Dr. Kubat Kemelov presented on "The current environmental condition of the atmospheric air of Bishkek and sources of pollution", Chingiz Orozaliev made a presentation on "Spark KG mobile applications" and each presentation was interestingly discussed. At the end of the meeting, an electric car was demonstrated.
