The Department of Industrial Engineering has added a new one to its activities carried out to strengthen university-industry cooperation and to observe students' sectoral experiences on-site. Within this scope, and under the bilateral cooperation protocol signed earlier, on Friday, June 19, 2026, our department's faculty members Assist. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Gören and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Özyörük paid a productive, day-long business visit to the Glasman factory operating in Talgar, Kazakhstan.
During the visit, the modern production facilities of the Glasman factory were toured, production processes were observed on-site, and detailed information was received from the officials. In addition to these technical examinations, the works carried out, tasks undertaken, and projects developed by our students interning at the factory were closely examined and evaluated. Thus, it was observed on-site how our students reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
In the final part of the meetings, the future of university-industry cooperation was discussed. Mutual ideas were exchanged on joint projects, graduation thesis works, and new cooperation opportunities that can be implemented in the upcoming academic term. The visit was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for future concrete projects and strengthening cooperation ties.
