Languages of Instruction: Kyrgyz and Turkish
Description of the Department: During their four years of studies, students cover the following categories of subjects: primary subjects, secondary subjects, and general humanities classes. Every year, 30 students are accepted based on results of a special exam. In their four years of studying, students must complete 240 ECTS credits to graduate, as well as passing all classes and exams. Students must also complete internships in places such as arts and culture institutions or radio and television studios, and must also write a report upon completion of their internship. The academic program of the Department of Music is based on equivalent programs in public and private universities, and combines traditional education with modern technology to prepare musicians.
Requirements for students: Students must complete 240 ECTS credits and pass all courses and exams required for graduation.
Employment opportunities: Graduates of the Department of Music can work as singers or instrumentalists for television channels, opera and ballet choirs, orchestral choirs, official choirs, music teachers, professors, at music institutes, and at governmental arts and cultural organizations.
Continuing education: Graduates can also choose to continue their education at graduate school programs.
