Cooperation Talks with the Faculty of Arts, Media and Design of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University Continue
On June 19, 2026, an online meeting was held between the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and the Faculty of Arts, Media and Design of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özkarcı, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Mr. Darhan Nurjanovich Eljanov, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Media and Design at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, as well as the heads of departments from both faculties.
During the meeting, the areas of cooperation discussed in previous meetings were reconsidered in light of the opinions and suggestions of the department heads. As a result of the discussions, both faculties agreed to cooperate in organizing artistic and cultural activities such as exhibitions and concerts, as well as scientific events including symposiums, seminars, courses, and workshops.
The participants also emphasized the importance of conducting joint scientific research aimed at publication in field-specific journals, particularly the Journal of Social Sciences of the Turkic World, and enhancing academic staff and student exchange programs. It was noted that increasing student mobility through the Orhun Exchange Program and existing inter-university agreements would make a significant contribution to strengthening academic and cultural ties between the two institutions.
The meeting also welcomed the news that a student from the Department of Music of the Faculty of Fine Arts will study at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University during the 2026–2027 academic year. It was emphasized that this exchange is a concrete example of the cooperation between the two universities, and the participants agreed to continue efforts to expand student and academic staff exchange opportunities in the future.
The online meeting is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of artistic, academic, and cultural cooperation between the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and the Faculty of Arts, Media and Design of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University.
