On October 6, 2023, Prof. Dr. Ömer Soner Hunkan and Prof. Dr. Erkan Göksu presented a seminar to the students of the Department of History. They were invited to participate in the "International Workshop on Turkic History and Ancient Turkic Sciences," which was organized at our university. Prof. Dr. Ömer Soner Hunkan discussed the Karakhanids, covering the etymology of the word "Karakhanids" and the history of the Karakhanids from their foundation to their eventual collapse. Prof. Dr. Erkan Göksu focused on the significance of the Seljuk Empire in history, including the acceptance of Islam by the Seljuks, their migration to Anatolia, and their eventual decline. The seminar garnered significant interest and attention from the participants.
