February 5, 2026. Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University hosted an inspiring orientation program for prospective students, organized by the Department of Philosophy within the Faculty of Humanities. As part of the university's "Social Responsibility Project," the event drew significant interest from the local student community. A total of 86 students in their 11th grade from Bishkek-Anadolu Turkish High School and Bishkek Secondary School No. 39 attended the event. The visit provided these prospective applicants with a first-hand look at the university's vibrant atmosphere, campus life, and diverse academic offerings.
The program commenced with an opening address by Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ashyk, Dean of the Faculty of HUmanities, who highlighted the university’s global vision and the international opportunities available to its students. Key highlights included Prof. Dr. Jyldyz Urmanbetova, Head of the Philosophy Department, delivered an insightful talk on the role of philosophical thinking in shaping successful career paths. Department Alumni shared their professional journeys and provided practical career guidance, bridging the gap between education and the workforce.
Following a screening of the university’s promotional film, members of the Student Council delivered a presentation on the social and cultural dynamics of campus life. The event was further enlivened by special performances prepared by Philosophy Department students, which were met with high praise from the audience. During the Q&A session, faculty members provided detailed answers to students’ questions regarding admissions and academic departments. The orientation concluded with an extensive tour of the university’s modern infrastructure. Students had the opportunity to visit Faculty Laboratories (including the WR and Simultaneous Translation Labs), Manas University Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography, The Central Library and Sports Complexes.
